Printing Plate Varieties

Of course, the early-engraved issues of Switzerland are rich with plate flaws, retouches, and other varieties. Surprisingly, many twentieth century varieties are recorded as well. Although few of the varieties are as spectacular as the errors made by the U.S. stamp printers, they still afford the collector further areas for study.
